THE achievements of A Level students at Burgate’s Sixth Form were recognised at a presentation ceremony.
The students were presented with their awards by Bryn and Emma Parry, of Help for Heroes, who attended the ceremony last Wednesday.
Students were recognised not only for their academic achievements but also services to the community.
Head of Sixth Form Louise Burns said: “This was a celebration for all; those who had worked their hardest to get modest results and those who had worked their hardest to get amazing results.
"It gave me great pleasure to be able to share the accolades the students had earned, not just for academic prowess, but also for service to the community, fund raising, public speaking, studentship and endeavour. The successes and challenges shared were an inspiration to all.
"We were delighted to welcome Emma Parry OBE and Bryn Parry OBE to give the A Levels and prizes. Bryn’s words of experience and wisdom had the audience spellbound. In short, it was a most uplifting evening.”
