POLICE have released CCTV images of a man and woman they want to speak to in relation to two unrelated shop thefts in Ferndown.

The first incident took place on January 5 at 1.39pm in Wilkinson, at Victoria Road.

Slimming aid tablets worth £300 were taken from the store and officers believe three people were involved in this theft. The second shop theft took place at 6.02pm on January 9, at Sainsbury’s in Ringwood Road.

A woman left the store with a Dyson Hoover which she had not paid for.

PC Adam Aggas, of Ferndown police, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release CCTV images, for both of these incidents, of a man in the Wilkinson store and a woman in Sainsbury’s supermarket, who may be able to help us with our investigation.

“I would urge the people pictured – and anyone who recognises them – to call Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.

“I am also appealing to anyone who witnessed the incidents to contact police.”

No arrests have been made.

Police are urging any witnesses to come forward by calling Dorset Police on 101 quoting the crime number C:15:D794 (Wilkinson theft) or incident number 15:1285 (Sainsbury’s theft) or Crime-stoppers on 0800 555 111.
