A BUSTLING Ringwood pub is up for sale.
The Greene King lease for the Grade 11 listed, Elm Tree pub at Hightown is on the market on a partially-tied lease with Fleurets.
Licensees Tim Buckle and Alan Douglas, who have run the thatched pub for the last six years, said they are sad to be leaving the pub but are planning for a move abroad.
Tim said: “Trade has increased year on year and we feel there is a lot more to develop here. Despite our proximity to the New Forest, we attract mainly local trade and the business benefits from a consistent turnover all year round.
“We are sad to be leaving as there is more we could do here but we are looking to move abroad and start a new venture.”
Kate Dowd of Fleurets said: “This is an exceptional site and whilst our clients have more than doubled trade in the last six years, there is a lot more for an experienced operator to develop here.”
