FOUR amateur chefs from south Wiltshire are appearing on Channel 4’s hit show Come Dine With me today.

Viewers will be able to see the four - Anna Wilde, Rossy Manning, Fiona Kiernan-Tatem and Tim Bevington – cook up a delicious feast in their quest to win the £1,000 cash prize.

The first night is hosted by fancy-dress goer Anna whose night in Salisbury revolves around a wild tea party theme and sees the host dressed up as Alice in Wonderland.

A “massive” fan of the programme, Anna who works at Salisbury Diocese, said she felt as though she was heading into the unknown.

She said: “The first night is the worst night to host as you don’t know what to expect but it was a great experience.

“They are a lovely bunch of people and we all got on really well.

“I’m a massive fan of the show and for me it was the best one I could have been on.”

Night two stayed with the fancy-dress theme as DJ Rossy had a pirate evening at his Salisbury home, which he described as a “disaster”.

DJ Rossy, 28, who recently launched Wayout radio station, said: “Cooking the dinner party was a nightmare.

“I was always playing catch up. All the things that could go wrong at a dinner party did – it was a disaster.

“It’s terrible as I cook and I’m quite a good cook but when it came to a tight schedule everything went out of the window.

“It was a good experience but I’d never do it again. I only applied as a joke.”

On the penultimate night, organised Fiona, a project manager for Wiltshire Council, served up a host of treats for her guests.

The 42-year-old said: “I didn’t have a clue what to expect but it was really good fun.”

“I’m pretty organised in the kitchen and I was ready for it.”

“I didn’t have a theme I just had a really nice dinner party.”

Thirty-four-year-old fitness professional and builder Tim concluded the week by going for gold with an assorted Mediterranean feast.

Tim greeted his guests from his van before serving canapés and hosting a fine-dining experience in his Sixpenny Handley home.

“It was a really good experience and I was pleased with how my night went,” said Tim.

“As it’s one of my favourite shows, it was good to go on it and see behind the scenes.

“We had some great food over the nights and we still talk to each other.”

The contestants rate each dining experience out of 10 and whoever scores the most points will pocket the lucrative cash prize.

The programme, which was filmed in May, is a one-off hour long special, with each person’s night being split into 15 minutes. It’s on Channel 4 at 4pm.
