THREE interpretation boards have been erected on Harnham Slope to help visitors better understand its unique part of the city landscape.
Funded by Salisbury City Council, Wiltshire Council and Friends of Harnham Slope, they will be situated at the entrance to the Slope in Grasmere Close, near the allotments and by the picnic table at the viewpoint.
They will provide information on the history of the Slope, the wildlife and flora and provide details of the famous people who have visited including John Constable, Edwin Young and the former Post Master General, Henry Fawcett.
Barry Wilkins, Friends of Harnham Slope chairman, said: “These boards provide a great opportunity for young and old alike to find out more about the Slope.”
