SALISBURY Quakers marked Quaker Equality Week by holding a vigil near the library on March 14.
A Spokesman for the group said: “Equality is one of the cornerstones of Quaker faith and growing inequality, globally and in Britain, led to this public testimony.
“Inequality exists in many forms but is commonly expressed solely in terms of income and wealth.
“Britain is one of the richest countries in the world.
“Last year one million people were forced to use food banks to feed themselves.
"Thirteen million people live below the UK poverty line."
