BISHOP Wordsworth's School (BWS) will be hosting an election hustings on Friday (April 24) which will be attended by all the major parties.

The event at the school is one of a a number of hustings taking place in the city before the vote on May 7 and will see the candidates clash on a range of local issues.

Chris Wheeler from the BWS Politics Society said: "The general election is now just weeks away, although despite the number of debates and interviews with party leaders on our TV screens, many people may still unsure which way to cast their ballot here in Salisbury.

"This Friday will be an opportunity for anybody in the city to come and ask questions to candidates to the five main parties, and see where they stand on important issues, from Stonehenge to schools, and Elizabeth Gardens to the EU.

"As always it promises to be an interesting night of discussion and debate, with both first timers and more experienced voters keen to get their voices heard."

The 2015 election hustings at Bishop Wordsworth’s School will be held on Friday from 6pm, and drinks will be available beforehand.

The event is free, and all members of the public are welcome to attend.
