A CAR sharing club is looking to expand after being awarded £3,000 of funding by the Salisbury Area Board for a new vehicle to to serve people in the St Pauls area of the city.

So far 15 people are signed-up to the hOURCARS service which has been operating in Salisbury for the last ten years.

They help people save money by taking away the hassle of owning a car as the club pays for insurance, repair bills and MOT.

The car can be booked online by members either weeks in advance or on the spur of the moment.

Benji Goehl, a founder member of hOURCARS, said: “This is great news for anyone living in or near St Paul’s ward who wants to use a car without the cost of owning one.

"Our members really appreciate the benefits of having access to a car when they need it without the hassle of searching for a parking space.”

Residents who would like to find out more about the car club can get in touch with hOURCARS via the website at hourcars.co.uk.
