SALISBURY City Council’s camping and caravanning site, which sits just below Old Sarum at Hudson’s Field, is to extend its opening times this year as part of a trial run.
Until now, the site has been open from just before Easter to late October each year but will now open right through to 6 January 2016.
The council said the extension was down to the "many events and markets Salisbury now has to offer making it more of a year round destination".
The site is managed by the Camping and Caravanning Club of Great Britain.
The trial will be evaluated before it is agreed to formalise this arrangement for future years.
