STREET theatre, dance, circus and music will be taking place in Salisbury city centre today and tomorrow as City Encounters begins.

The entertainment is all free and is part of this year's Salisbury International Arts Festival.

Acts include Gandini Juggling featuring choreographed juggling vignettes in tribute to eight classic rock and roll songs, a tribute to the star partnership of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, Goobledegook Theatre: Ear Trumpet and a deluxe bee hive.

The Market Place is also packed with continental market stalls with international food such as Greek, Spanish, Indian and French.

Meats of The World is  offering some different flavours including crocodile, kangaroo, wild boar and more while there are French macaroons, German Bratwurst and a Welsh hog roast.

The market runs today and tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.
