SALISBURY catholic churches have recently donated £10,000 to two education projects in the developing world.

In Sindh, Pakistan, a basic education is provided to the children of extremely poor bonded labourers. Funding will help with teachers’ salaries which are £650 a year.

Family of Hope in Eastern Uganda, have also received funds to continue working with children who have special educational needs.

At the Salisbury Catholic Outreach (SCORE) AGM members were able to hear how funds were used last year. This included a presentation from EdUKaid, a Downton based charity, which works with primary education in Tanzania.
