LEARNING has been brought into the 21st century for Gomeldon pupils.
Gomeldon Primary School welcomed the arrival of new tablet computers, which has been made possible thanks to a £10,000 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
The new IT equipment will replace the school's ageing laptop computers.
Headteacher Paddy Macey, said: "I was delighted to be able to invest money into the school so pupils can have these tablets in the classroom to organically work within their normal learning.
"It will allow them to be able to access knowledge and information as they would at home."
He told the Journal that the pupils were "absolutely thrilled" with the new tablet computers, which have been specifically designed for school use.
The funding bid was put forward by the school's parent teacher association (PTA).
