THESE were the dramatic scenes when a car burst into flames on an Amesbury road on Sunday.

The Citroen Picasso caught fire at Solstice Park after what is believed to have been an electrical fault.

Firefighters were called and put out the blaze at 5.30pm.

No one was hurt and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.

The driver, David McCubbin, took these shots as he watched his car go up in smoke.

Mr McCubbin said: “I’m glad my partner and children weren’t in the car.

"You see it on the roads now and again but you never think it will happen to you.

"How quick it takes a car to go from a bit of smoke to a full inferno is unbelievable. It only took a couple of minutes."
