PENNY came to us as a stray two years ago having be found tied to a park bench.
She spent a year with us before being adopted. She was doing really well – happy and healthy and was adored by her ‘mum’. Sadly in January she developed a serious acute medical condition and was unable to stand.
Through intensive veterinary treatment, and specialist nursing over many month she has made a near full recovery. Penny is now doing fantastically and enjoying life, although she requires a (expensive) specialist diet, and has been unable to return to her ‘mum’ so will be remaining with us as a long term foster as long as is needed.
Her treatment has cost more than £3,500 to date, but she is definitely worth it.
We have a number of dogs that we are unable to rehome, if you can offer help or donate towards their costs, go to southerncountiesgsdrescue.co.uk or call Alison on 01425 473907.
