THOUSANDS of extra maps for the Barons Trail are being printed after 30,000 of the maps have been picked up in just two weeks.
Originally planned to last the duration of the event, whichextends lasts throughout the summer, Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID), which sponsored the Wild in Art and Trussell Trust initiative, has had to put in an extra order.
BID business manager for BID, Steve Godwin, said: “We expected the maps to be greatly in demand demanded but never to this extent.
“Salisbury is a lot busier than we had anticipated and people are demanding the maps in large quantities.
“We have been surprised and delighted that so many local people, as well as visitors to the city, are embarking upon the trail.”
Copies of the trail map for the 25 barons can be picked up from places such as the Tourist Information Centre, Salisbury Cathedral and the Arts Centre.
It is also available to be downloaded from the Barons Trust website at thebaronscharter.org.uk/trail.
