Has your child got what it takes to dazzle and shine like a star in front of the camera? Here’s the perfect opportunity to see if they have, as the The Journal launches its NEW 2015 Child of the Year portrait competition to find the child with the most dazzling and winning smile.

This year The Journal is delighted to welcome Broadstone-based Fraser Portraits as the official Salisbury Journal Child of the Year photographers. With over 30 years of experience in taking children’s portraits, Fraser Portraits can’t fail to produce a smile for our competition!

There are four different age categories to be won and an overall winner to be chosen.

The categories are:

n Unisex 0-9 Months

n Unisex 10-18 Months

n Unisex 19-36 Months

n Unisex 3-6 Years

If you would like to enter a child into our competition, simply cut out a Child of the Year advert, which will be published every week in The Journal starting today (see page 20) and running until July 23. You will need one photo session advert per person, no photocopies please. Then all you have to do is take a copy of the advert along to one of our special Child of the Year photo shoots taking place from Thursday, July 23 until Saturday, July 25 at Tesco Extra, The Bourne Centre, Southampton Road, Salisbury, SP1 2NY from 10am-4pm daily.

Entry is free – all you need is the advert from the paper. (No photocopies will be allowed and one coupon per child is required. Children must be aged from 0 months to six years old.)

Photo packages will be available to purchase at a later date when you return to pick the entry for the competition, but there is no obligation to purchase.

A supplement of all the picture entries will appear in The Journal in August. Voting for the child you would like to see crowned as the winner of the Salisbury Journal Child of the Year portrait competition will be by post, text and phone. Full details will be printed within the supplement.

All the category winners will receive a certificate and 14x11 canvas of their winning picture, the overall winner will receive a certificate and 16x12 canvas print of their winning picture from Fraser Portraits.
