TWELVE families from the Piam Brown Unit in Southampton enjoyed a day out to see Shrek at the Mayflower Theatre.
Lucy's Days Out organised the day for the children, who enjoyed sweets and ice creams during the show and met meet Princess Fiona, donkey and the rest of the cast afterwards.
The charity, set up in the legacy of Lucy Page who died in 2010, has been sending sick children on trips since it launched.
Administrator Maria Horsfall said: "It was wonderful to see the excitement on the children's faces as they arrived at The Mayflower."
"Most of the children are currently on treatment at Southampton Hospital, so it was fantastic to provide a special trip to the theatre, helping to bring some sunshine into these children's lives."
