AN IT trainer at Salisbury Hospital will be walking out of his house in Durrington all the way to Mudeford beach in Dorset next Saturday, August 8, to raise money for the campaign.
Liam Thornhill is hoping to complete the 49-mile walk within 16 hours.
He said: “I’ll be leaving my house at 5am and walking past Stonehenge, Old Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral as well as Fordingbridge and Christchurch Priory, and it would be lovely if people wanted to join me at any point on the day.
“Any donation people make will be greatly appreciated and will fuel me on when the legs and feet get tired. Having a dedicated breast unit will allow patients to get same day diagnosis, quicker access to treatment with state-of-the-art equipment in the best possible environment.
“Once the walk is done I plan to have a dip in the ocean and then have a pint on the seafront.”
