PUPPY walkers are needed to lend a helping hand in Salisbury.
Guide Dogs is also looking for volunteers to come forward to take on other roles including fundraising or the My Guide service, which supports people who are blind and partially sighted to get out and about.
An information session is being held on Tuesday, August 11, at St Thomas's House from 11am to 2pm for those wanting to find out more.
The charity says puppy walking is a crucial volunteering role which prepares guide dog puppies for their working life by familiarising them with different environments.
Volunteer puppy walkers provide the full-time care and education of a puppy from seven weeks of age until they are between 12 and 14 months old.
Guide Dog representative Hazel Dyson said: “Whatever you’re interested in doing, whether you have a little or a lot of time to spare, you will be guaranteed to meet new people and have some fun.”
The charity is also looking for people to be part of the Guide Dogs Salisbury Group. Lot
