Robert Mayall
THE driver who died in the double fatal road traffic collision on the A36 a week ago has been named.
Robert Mayall, 61, from Corton, near Warminster, was driving a Toyota Auris which was in collision with a silver Suzuki motorbike travelling towards Salisbury at Sherrington Lane, near Codford.
His wife, Alison Mayall, said: "He was a big man - both in body and spirit.
"A true gentleman, a pillar of the community and friend to all ages.
"He has left a large hole in countless lives.
"I, my son, the family, our small community, the Church and far beyond will miss him dreadfully."
Motorcyclist Steven Lillywhite, 49, of Fisherton De La Mere, Warminster, also died in the crash.
