OLDER residents in Salisbury, Ludgershall and Mere are being invited to come along to electric blanket testing and slipper exchange events.
The senior wellbeing events have been organised by Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service and are supported by Wiltshire Council.
As part of the event people will have an opportunity to have their electric blanket tested and their old slippers exchanged for a new pair for free.
Places are limited and only eligible for people aged 65 or over. Those wishing to have their electric blanket tested must make an appointment.
There will also be a range of exhibitors on hand to talk to residents including representatives from Swindon & Wilts Users Network, Warm & Safe Wiltshire, Wiltshire Farm Foods, Bobby Van and Police, and Age UK.
The events are taking place on September 29, 10am to 2pm at the Guildhall, Thursday, October 1, 10am to 2pm at the Memorial Hall, Ludgershall, and Tuesday, October 6, 10am to 2pm at the Lecture Hall, Mere.
