A LORRY driver from Salisbury has raised more than £300 for the Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit Campaign after doing a parachute jump at Old Sarum.
Steven Trowbridge who lost his mum, Theresa, to breast cancer in March completed the skydive last Thursday.
He said: “My mum was diagnosed with a harsh strain of breast cancer and within 18 months she had died.
“She had been really hoping to make it to see my 40th birthday but in the end she didn’t and I buried my mum the day after.
"My dad and I looked after her at home but the nurses looking after her when she was having treatment at hospital did such a marvellous job that I wanted to do something to say thank you.”
