POLICE are searching for a girl suspected of launching a bottle at a moving car carrying a couple and their six-year-old child.
A girl allegedly threw a full bottle of Irn Bru at the car, which was driving to Salisbury Hospital, narrowly missing the windscreen and exploding on the bonnet.
The family were driving on Odstock Road when they spotted a group of teenagers stood at the top of the hill.
The victim said: "The bottle exploded on impact and very luckily missed the windscreen, but cracked through the plastic just below."
PC Fritz Macaulay said: "Throwing any item at a moving vehicle is very dangerous, this could have resulted in injury to the occupants of the vehicle or other road users."
Police have issued this photograph of a girl they want to speak to about the incident.
Call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
