A 39-YEAR-OLD man was left with injuries to his head and face after an attack in Salisbury city centre. 

The assault happened at 3am last Friday (September 25) outside Music Box on Catherine Street.

Police say the victim, who is a  local man, was struck by two males, causing him to fall to the floor.

The suspects walked off in the direction of New Canal.

The first man is described as white, around 5'8'' of stocky build with short or shaven blond hair. He was wearing a chequered blue shirt with blue jeans.

The second man is described as white, around 5'10'' of chubby build. He's around 25 years old and had short brown hair.

Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.

Local Crime Investigator Anne King said: "This seems to be an unprovoked attack which caused the victim painful injuries. I would like to speak with anyone who has any information about the incident"
