SERVE On is hosting its first-ever fundraising ball in Salisbury.

The event on Friday (October 9) will see more than 100 guests gather at The Stones Hotel to celebrate the charity, who provide help to communities in Wiltshire through its community resilience team as well as providing search and rescue skills in international disasters.

In early 2015 a team of eight volunteers deployed to Nepal within 24-hours of the earthquake.

The chairman of the trustees of Serve On, Paul Rose, said: “We are delighted to be holding the fundraising ball at The Stones Hotel in Salisbury. It is not only an opportunity to celebrate the charity and the incredible work it has achieved this year but also to introduce the charity to many people and raise our profile in the local community. This year has been fantastic – from putting the Barons in place in an overnight operation, to providing safety cover for the marathon, to members taking part in Tough Mudder and of course, the deployment of our team to Nepal.”

There will be a raffle and action as well as a live band. Guests will also enjoy a locally sourced meal.

All money raised from the event will help to fund the work of Serve On, both our Community Resilience Projects in the UK as well as its international search and rescue training and work.
