Hillside Community First School in Verwood enjoyed their Harvest Celebration this week in the town’s Methodist Church. The children read out poems that they had created in class and sang songs both traditional and modern, like Harvest Rock and Roll. Rev Nigel Deller had the children, staff and parents joining in with the story of the Good Samaritan, encouraging people to share what we have with others. The children brought in an amazing amount food which will be used by the Trussell Trust’s Food Bank in the town. Everyone left the service feeling uplifted and grateful for what they had.
