AN ARTIST has brought a splash of colour to a city business as part of Salisbury Arts Trail.

Selina Snow is exhibiting her Indian-themed paintings in the windows of Specsavers in Catherine Street.  The artwork was inspired by her trip to Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India.

She says her work was influenced by the mix of exotic scented flowers, rich textiles, spices and food offerings.

All the paintings are available to buy and a percentage of the sales will go to Julia's house Children’s Hospice, who provide regular care for children with life-limiting conditions in Dorset & Wiltshire.

Salisbury Art Trail runs until Sunday (October 11). This year it celebrates its 12th year and showcases creative talents of artists in and around Salisbury.

Homes, studios, shops, cafes and galleries are being used to exhibit an array of art both traditional and contemporary, including paintings, jewellery, sculptures, photography, mixed media and more.

Salisbury Art Trail is an opportunity to discover fresh and original work as well as giving people the chance to meet the artists.
