FIREFIGHTERS came to the aid of an elderly woman after a strong smell of gas was reported in a Salisbury home.
A crew from Salisbury attended the property in Queensberry Road at about 9.25am yesterday (Tuesday).
The occupant was out of the property when they arrived.
Investigations by firefighters found that a cooking hob had been left on.
Ventilation fans were used to clear the gas.
