FOUR industrial units on a Salisbury business park are to be let by major furniture and homewares retailers.

The large warehouses at Dolphin Retail Park on Southampton Road are subject to pre-let agreements with Oak Furniture Land, DFS, Harveys and B&M Home Store.

Planning permission for the units was granted in August last year, but it was not clear which companies would rent the premises.

No official announcement has been made, but a brochure produced by the developer’s agents shows a plan of the site with the four firms listed as tenants.

Yesterday Simon Radford, chief executive of the Lothbury Investment Management Ltd, which owns the site, told the Journal he was very pleased the deals had all been confirmed.

He said: “We hope that the retail park will add to the offer within the city and we are looking forward to it all being opened in the autumn. We have got a long involvement and ownership within Salisbury and we are very pleased with progress.”

Planning permission for the units states they must be used for “bulky goods” retail.

Homebase, Currys, Argos and Next occupy the other units on the retail park.
