PHOTOGRAPHERS from across Wiltshire are being invited to get snapping once more in a competition aimed at capturing some of the best images from across the county.
The contest, backed by the Salisbury Journal and VisitWiltshire, has grown this year with the addition of Newsquest’s other media titles.
There’s a £300 voucher prize awaiting the winner of the contest, which begins in May and lasts throughout the summer.
To be in with a chance of winning, your photos should capture the essence of life in Wiltshire, its people and landscape, and tie in with any of VisitWiltshire’s four ‘Timeless’ themes:
- Timeless Wonders: including Stonehenge, Avebury, Salisbury Cathedral, the Kennet & Avon Canal and Wiltshire’s White Horses
- Timeless Places: including market towns, villages and other attractions
- Timeless Pleasures: including shopping, food and drink, festivals & events, arts & entertainment
- Timeless Nature: including big skies, rolling hills, flora and fauna This year entrants can submit up to five photographs per month.

PRIZES There will be one prize of a £300 voucher for the best photograp, plus two runners up prizes of a £50 voucher each.
HOW TO ENTER: The competition runs from May 1 to September 30 and is open to all UK mainland residents, with the exception of employees of VisitWiltshire / Salisbury Journal / Newsquest or their families.
To give yourself the best chance of winning you can send in up to 5 photographs per calendar month – ie up to 25 photos in total – from May to September 2016.
Only colour, digital photos will be accepted and all photographs must be jpeg or tiff, minimum size 1,000 x 700 pixels; minimum res 300dpi.
