A FOX cub had a lucky escape after getting its head stuck in a peanut butter jar at Salisbury Crematorium.
The cub, who has been named Peanut, was rescued by Creatures in Crisis who were alerted by a member of the public.
Kevin Drew, of Creatures in Crisis, said: "When we rescued her she was very subdued from lack of oxygen but soon came round once the jar was removed.
"We have never found a fox caught in this way before and just urge people to clean tins jars etc before disposal."
Wire cutters were used to free the three-week-old fox cub from the plastic jar.
Peanut is now doing well and will stay with Salisbury-based Creatures in Crisis for up to three months before being released back into the wild.
