A NEW free to hire exhibition space has opened at Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre.

The space at the recently redeveloped leisure centre offers the chance for local artists or community groups to display their work.

The first exhibition opened this week showing images captured by David Walker — who is currently working on the influences that street art have to the background of our everyday life.

Karen Linaker from the centre said: "This new exhibition space is a great opportunity for all in the Salisbury community area, whether a school, community group, amateur or professional artist, to display their work in this popular public place. The space is free for anyone to hire and is intended to facilitate art and culture as something that can also enhance our sense of wellbeing, alongside the great sport and leisure activities already based at the centre."
