A GROUP of eight Tibetan monks have taken up residency at St Thomas's Church until next week.
The monks from the exiled monastery of Tashi Lhunpo will constructing a Sand Mandala — or a Tantric meditation aid—using millions of grains of brightly coloured sand.
In addition the monks will lead a series of schools workshops, hold a monastery lunch and an arts performance in St Thomas’s Church on Sunday 12th June at 2pm.
Associate Priest, Rev’d Jonathan Plows said: "It is a great joy to welcome the monks to St Thomas’s and it is such a privilege to host the Medicine Mandala. The Residency forms a key part of our inter-faith ministry and we hope lots of people will come and meet our guests during the Residency."
