A BAR owner will continue a disco for adults with learning difficulties after Wiltshire Council axed its funding.
Kandi Lounge boss Alex Nettle has run the disco and karaoke session every Monday for the past two years without charging the council for hiring the venue.
But the council say due to dwindling numbers they had to stop the sessions.
However, Alex has decided to carry on regardless, with the disco running as normal and is open to all.
“They all absolutely loved [the disco], and sent such a heart warming card to my brother on their last session that we decided we had to do something,” he said.
The disco runs from 2pm to 3.30pm every Monday in Kandi Lounge on Catherine Street.
The council said it would consider re-instating the sessions in future if demand increased.
