GROWING Salisbury website design company Unstuck Design has pledged its support to the District Hospital's Stars Appeal by providing its services to the appeal organisers free of charge on an ongoing basis.

Visitors to the site can access the latest news about the appeal's campaigns, find out about and enter forthcoming events, including the Walk for Wards events on June 24, and even donate online.

James Purves, proprietor of Unstuck Design, recently met with consultant surgeon Graham Branagan who gave him a tour of the hospital's current operating theatres and talked him through the difference the new equipment funded by the appeal would make.

Commenting while visiting the hospital, Mr Purves said: "When I heard about what the appeal was trying to achieve and how much it would benefit local people, I was delighted to become involved.

"As we have a particular area of expertise that could be used to provide a valuable asset for the cause, we felt that by providing our services free of charge this would be an ideal way in which we could support the appeal."

Dave Cates, director of fundraising at Salisbury District Hospital said: "A website of this standard would normally be extremely costly. We are grateful to James and all at Unstuck Design, not just for donating their time and resources, but also for the fantastic site they have built and have agreed to maintain on an ongoing basis.

"The site is proving to be immensely useful in helping us to keep in touch with our supporters and provide them the information that they need about the appeal."

The Stars Appeal is an ongoing fundraising drive with individual campaigns and the first two have been running since February.

They are the Little Lives Campaign and the Keyhole Cancer Campaign.

The Little Lives Campaign aims to raise £100,000 for new state-of-the-art equipment that will help newborn babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Keyhole Cancer Campaign is looking to raise £300,000 to equip a dedicated keyhole cancer operating theatre.
