CYCLISTS are being warned after pins were found on a cyclepath in Salisbury.
The drawing pins had been scattered between the controlled crossing point on the A36 and Marshmead Close, causing a puncture to one cyclist.
They have been found a number of times since July 2014 on the same stretch of cyclepath.
PCSO Tina Roylance, from the Southern Wiltshire Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This is the fourth time this has happened on this path. It not only causes damage to cyclists’ tyres but could also be dangerous for pedestrians, young children and animals.
“We don’t know whether the same people are responsible but inquiries are ongoing to locate the suspects. I am going to be speaking to local residents, and making extra patrols.”
Wiltshire Police ask anyone who spots any pins on the path to call 101.
