A SALISBURY woman cycled more than 300 miles to Cornwall over one weekend to raise awareness and funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Alice Henry, who runs a locally-based mobile bicycle repair company called URGE cycles, set off on June 24 from Salisbury and arrived in Mousehole near Penzance in Cornwall on June 27.
She said: “The ride was tough with plenty of hills to climb and I cycled between 70 and 100 miles each day. The challenge of cycling solo made the journey a real adventure, especially riding through the fog and rain over Bodmin Moor."
She rode the 337 miles in a bid to help raise awareness and a targeted £3,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as a tribute to her late aunt Sue, who died of cancer.
