SALISBURY residents could find themselves stranded on a desert island as a popular reality show seeks new contestants.
Channel 4 is now accepting applications for the next series of The Island with Bear Grylls.
During the show, contestants are stripped of all the comforts of modern life and cast away on a remote desert island, filming themselves with professional cameras to document their story of survival. The show's third series aired earlier this year and attracted nearly three million viewers with nail biting moments as contestants battled the elements.
Producers asked "Do you ever secretly wonder what would happen if you were stranded on a desert island? Have you got what it takes to build your own shelter and catch your own dinner?"
They are looking for men and woman older than 18, but up to any age, to take part. No experience of adventure or survival pursuits is necessary.
To register your interest in applying, please send a short email with why you would like to go on The Island to applyisland@shine.tv by Sunday August 7.
