A WOMAN was robbed yesterday afternoon while with her two young children in Culver Street car park.
At about 4pm yesterday (Thursday, August 4), the woman, in her 20s, was approched by a man while walking home through the lower car park.
He pushed her and stole her purse which contained a small amount of cash and a gas/electric meter card. Fortunately, the woman was not injured.
The man is described as aged in his late 20s, approximately 6ft 1in tall, with tanned skin, short brown hair and scruffy side burns. He was wearing green and brown camouflage trousers cut off to just below the knee.
DC Charlotte Mason said: "This incident was upsetting for this lady and I would like to reassure residents that we are carrying out a thorough investigation to identify the suspect.
"We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, who either witnessed it, or may have information to help us identify this man.
"In particular, we'd really like to speak to a man who came to the woman's aid shortly after the incident."
