FOURTEEN pigs have been stolen from a farm near Fordingbridge.

The Landrace Duroc cross pigs were taken some time between 5.30pm on Monday, August 15 and 6am on Tuesday, August 16 from South Allenford Farm.

The pigs each weigh between 25 to 30 kilos each and are tattooed with HB0789 on their shoulder which is the Allenford marking.

The pen from which they were stolen is close to an access road running from Damerham Road to Tidpit Road.

PC Rob Morant from the New Forest West Neighbourhood Policing team said: “These pigs are likely to be kept and fed up for a number of months as they are not currently at the required size to be sent to an abattoir.

“I would like to hear from anyone who knows the whereabouts of the livestock, or who witnessed pigs being transported in the area.”
