A CYCLIST is in a critical condition after a serious crash involving a car near Snakey Hill yesterday.
The cyclist, 57, who is also from the local area, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital.
His family have been informed.
The incident happened shortly before 8.15am. A cyclist travelling towards the Woodford Valley down Snakey Hill (also known as Camp Hill) was in collision with a Green Honda Jazz which was travelling up the hill.
The driver of the Honda, a local man, was not injured in the incident.
The collision investigation unit are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
