A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has admitted dealing hard drugs on the streets of Salisbury after he was caught with crack and heroin worth £2,000 hidden up his rectum.

Officers on foot patrol in Harnham saw a suspected hand-to-hand drugs deal by the teenager, who is from Hayes in Essex.

They saw him put his hands down the back of his trousers in an attempt to hide drugs.

A search turned up two mobile phones and £185 cash.

He was then taken to Wilton Police Station where he produced a quantity of class A drugs from his anus.

He then produced two further large wraps which were later found to contain a total of between 150-200 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.

The teenager appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court and a detention and training order for 18 months was made.

He was also ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

PC Joe Shanklin said: “This teenager had travelled to Salisbury from London with the sole intention of dealing class A drugs to local users. On the day he was stopped by local officers, he was found with a large number of wraps of crack cocaine and heroin worth approximately £2,000 concealed internally.

“ The message from us remains clear – if you are travelling into our county with the purpose of selling drugs, we will find you, arrest you and follow your trail back to your home county. County borders will not pose obstacles to any of our investigations.

“We understand the misery that drugs can bring to many vulnerable individuals – but it doesn’t stop there. It can also bring misery, anti-social behaviour and violence to the surrounding communities and I would like to reassure these members of the public that Wiltshire Police is committed to tackling drugs within our county.

“If you suspect drug activity in your area, please call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
