CAMPAIGNERS from Salisbury have shown their support for refugees.

Salisbury activists joined tens of thousands of people marching through London at the weekend, in the UK's biggest rally showing support for the refugee crisis this year.

Pam Clarke, of Salisbury, has worked as a volunteer to support three refugee families to settle here in the UK and she is currently teaching them to speak English.

She said:  “I am here to support refugees; I have met so many who have children scattered across the world. They find it very hard being here, they need love and support and they need to know that we pray for them.

“If I had a message for refugees, it would be to hope and pray that you can return to your homeland and that you can find the loved ones that are so far away.”
