MORE than 3,500 visitors are expected to attend Rockbourne Fair this week for a day of festive fun and seasonal shopping.

With over 90 stalls the fair provides a variety of Christmas gifts and treats, jewellery, home accessories, luxury clothing and regional food and drink from a selection of retailers.

The annual shopping fair returns to Salisbury Racecourse on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (October 19 to 21)and is expected to attract people from Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset and beyond.

The fair will stay open until 7.30pm on Thursday evening for late night shopping and there will be plenty of free parking. All proceeds from the Rockbourne Fair are donated to the Stars Appeal, Salisbury Hospital’s charity.

Jane Corani, a member of the voluntary organising committee said: “Rockbourne Fair makes a wonderful day out, with many of our old favourites returning this year as well as some exciting new stalls, such as local business Eat, Sleep, Doodle – unique doodle textile gifts that come with wash-out pens so you can customise and doodle-ise then just wash and repeat.”

“With gifts for all ages, and the delights of the amazing food hall, there is something for everyone. “Come with friends, have lunch in the restaurant while you rest between the shopping, what could be better.”

Among the 90 stallholders at the 2016 Rockbourne Fair will be Boutique in a Bus – a mobile boutiquebringing clothing, bags, jewellery and accessories – and Godminster Vintage, a range of organic foods. Entry £5 (£3 after 4pm on Thursday). Visit rockbournefair.org.uk
