BURGLARS raided a shop and stole the till before emptying it and dumping it in a nearby river.
The thieves broke into Taste of the World in Fisherton Street, Salisbury, between 5pm on Sunday 7.30am on Monday and ripped out a CCTV monitor and till.
They emptied the till in the car park of the Fisherton Mill, taking some cash and leaving a pile of small change and paperwork on the ground.
The till and monitor were later discovered in the nearby River Avon.
Anyone who was saw any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information regarding the burglary is asked to contact PC Chloe Stokes at Amesbury Police Station on 101.
