TIM FitzHigham returns to the city for Museums at Night.

Salisbury Museum welcomes the multi-award-winning comedian as he commemorates the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare in a one-man show on Wednesday, 6.30pm.

Tim, who will be familiar to listeners of Radio 4, is not only a comedian, but also a gambling archaeologist, TV presenter, actor, author, world record holder and adventurer.

He presented the award winning series Super Human Challenge on CBBC and his acting credits include working alongside Clint Eastwood, Matt Damon and Anthony Hopkins.

The evening of entertainment features wild Morris dancing, near death, arrest and injury as Tim takes on the challenge of the greatest stand up the world ever saw – Will Kemp.

The museum’s marketing officer, Louise Tunnard said: “Tim performed at the museum last year and thrilled us with stories of his recreation of amazing bets – like racing against a racehorse in a hundred-yard dash or rolling a cheeseboard four miles in 100 throws. We cannot wait to find out whether he has discovered the true nature of comedy, but if anyone can – it will be Tim.

“We also really enjoy being part of Museums at Night, where each year a huge variety of events are staged at unusual venues.

Our performance space was originally built as a chapel when The King’s House was a teacher training college, so to have someone of Tim’s reputation performing here is such a privilege for us.”
