COMBAT the winter blues with a dose of laughs at Salisbury Arts Centre.

Barnstormers brings the month to a close on Friday with a comedy line-up featuring Diane Spencer, Spencer Brown and Stuart Goldsmith.

Diane Spencer will draw inspiration from her own life and social concerns to entertain audiences.

Comedian, director, actor and writer Spencer Brown will be a familiar face appearing on the Sexy Ads Show (Five), Lip Service (ITV2 with Holly Willoughby), and Don’t get Screwed (BBC3).

Stuart Goldsmith has performed standup all over Britain and Europe, and as far afield as Dubai, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand and now comes to Salisbury.

And on Saturday the best of local music will be celebrated at Salisbury Arts Centre at the Salisbury Music Awards.

Voting has been taking place since the beginning of October and the winners of each category will be crowned at the evening event which starts at 8.00pm.

During the day there will be a special Live Lunch from midday.

The evening’s main event will include Odstocks, Restless Wrestler Band, Glitch Trip, Death Drive, Gypsy Jukebox, Newcome and Roach and The Neighbourhood Strange. Sixteen awards will be presented at the ceremony including the coveted Best Band and Best Live Acts.
