TWO men are being held on suspicion of criminal damage caused in the early hours of this morning (Friday, October 28).
Police were called at 1.30am to reports two men hitting and breaking wing mirrors on parked cars in the Windsor Road area of Salisbury.
Five vehicles were damaged, including a Ford Focus and a Skoda Fabia.
A witness said the men then went into a property in the area.
Officers found the men, aged 26 and 28, and arrested them on suspicion of criminal damage.
They were taken to custody in Melksham.
Inspector Pete Sparrow said: “Thanks to a vigilant member of the public who reported suspicious behaviour in the Windsor Road area this morning, officers swiftly attended the scene and located two men who were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
“This was a mindless act of vandalism which has inconvenienced a number of residents this morning who would have no doubt needed their cars to get to work.
