A DURRINGTON teenager who is competing for the Miss Wiltshire crown says it would be an “honour” to represent the county.

Megan Tsoulouhopoulos, who is studying equine management at Hartpury College in Gloucester, says she had done modelling before and entered the competition to try and get Wiltshire known in a “slightly unusual way”.

She said: “I chose to get involved with Miss Wiltshire after doing some modelling myself and deciding to try and get Wiltshire known in a slightly unusual way.

I saw that the entries were open for the 2017 Miss Wiltshire and decided that I would just submit an entry hoping it may get looked at, I never expected to be in the finals.”

The next step for Megan is to get into the final three where she will be in the running for the title of Miss Wiltshire on June 4.

The 17-year-old, a former South Wilts Grammar School pupil, said: “I am astounded at the fact that I have got so far in the competition and it is a real accomplishment for me to be able to say that I am in the final 11.

“To be in the final three and running for Miss Wiltshire so close in my reach would be outstanding. I would be so grateful for that opportunity and to represent the county would be a complete honour.”

The winner of Miss Wiltshire will then compete in the Miss England national final in Birmingham in July.
