RICHARD Gagg is to take charge at bus operator Salisbury Reds, its parent company Go South Coast has confirmed.

After seven years in the retail industry, Richard began work as a bus driver in 2003 transporting passengers across the UK and Europe for a further seven years.

He was promoted to supervisor and then moved to Go South Coast’s Southampton-based Bluestar in 2013. The company quickly saw his potential and appointed Richard to assistant operations manager for its National Express contract in 2015.

“We are pleased to be welcoming Richard as operations manager for our Salisbury Reds services in Wiltshire,” said Go South Coast managing director, Andrew Wickham.

“He is a highly-skilled professional, with a wealth of experience within the industry - both in the UK and abroad. He joins Salisbury Reds at an exciting time, following significant investment in recent years.

“I have no doubt he will play a key role in further enhancing the services we offer here in the future.”

Richard will take the reins from outgoing operations manager Alex Chutter, who has joined sister company Thamesdown Transport in Swindon, as general manager.
